Puma Pile 2

Tuesday, April 6th, 2010

I recently completed a project working with Puma’s retail marketing department and during the development process I managed to create some updates on the Puma patterns I started last year. The style featured in this design is the Puma Dallas which as been re-released as part of Puma’s SS10 collection. The Dallas was adopted by the European B-Boy community in the 80′s and was regarded as a classic of the time.

Come to the Snowball fight

Monday, November 23rd, 2009

The nights have well and truly drawn in now and decorations are going up all over the place. With plans being made for the festive season, it is hard not to feel a little bit Christmasy. My recent piece of work has definitely a winter wonderland in mind. I have tried to again to look at an organic/ textured feel combining pencil sketch worked over in photoshop & illustrator.

It would be interesting to hear what you think about this softer, more nostalgic look when compared against my more graphic, and colourful style. Feel free to leave a comment, it would be great to hear from you!

Now where’s that Bing Crosby album?

Pattern – Illustration Friday

gift_wrap_pattern

A while ago, I created Puma Pile illustration, a collection of Puma mid-tops piled one upon the other in glorious Cyan, Magenta, Yellow & Black.

With this weeks Illustration Friday topic being pattern, it was a no-brainer to submit the development of this original illustration into a gift wrap concept. You can see how the wrapping  paper turned out on my previous post.

An incredible photographer inspired this piece of work.

Gemma Booth’s work (in particular her fashion shots) has a warm, summery feel that reminds me of the hazy Californian sunshine. Her client list includes the likes of Paul Smith, i-D, Roxy & American Eagle.

You can follow her blog at.
