Stoneydown Assembly

After months of working on the Stoneydown Park School Mural, it was time to present to the children.

I ‘ve been busy this year on a super commission for Stoneydown Park Primary School in London – taking the pupils’ drawings and making a huge mural to hang outside. When it was finished, I visited during assembly to chat to the whole school about how the project came together by showing a few animations of the process and a preview of the mural.

I also saw this as a chance to give a little insight into the life of an illustrator. I’m sure nobody ever explained to my 8-year-old self that drawing for a living was an option for all those “what do you want to be when you grow up” questions.

Here’s a video of the presentation I made to the school. The mural will be officially opened this Friday 8th July, at the Summer Fete at Stoneydown Park Primary School, E17, and will be up for years to come.
