Transporting you to the bustling heart of Walthamstow with this authentic illustration of Maze’s Pie and Mash Shop, a true East London icon.

Maze’s represents a slice of local history, serving generations of families with its beloved pies and mash. The Manze family, having set foot on British soil in 1878, went on to establish an empire of 14 Pie and Mash Shops across London.

Some time ago, I did manage to eat here before its doors sadly closed for the final time in 2022. My mum and I (West Londoners originally) shared a moment over pie, mash & liquor. I suppose you can’t call us real cockneys ’cause I’ll take the pie and mash, but as for the eel liquor, it’ll be a hard pass. Thanks all the same!
